CEO's, pundits, and pols seem puzzled by protests, wondering why they have suddenly sprung up, and what on earth these people are so upset about.  This, in itself, reveals the sharp divide between wealth and burgeoning numbers of a struggling populace, from college students to labor unions (what's left of them) to the crumbling middle class.
Many of us have seen this coming for years, but most people have been too busy with their own lives to realize the foundation has been crumbling beneath them.
